Sandra is a famous German music group that consists primarily of Sandra Cretu (vocals) and Michael Cretu (writer and producer). The group was formed in 1984 and other members include: Hubert Kemmler (singer and song writer), Markus Löhr, Klaus Hirschburger, Armand Volker, Frank Peterson, Andy Jonas (singer), Jens Gad (song writer, co-producer). Sandra and Michael Cretu are also well known for their work under the name Enigma.

The vocalist known as Sandra came to fame singing with her husband's group, Enigma. The whispery, haunting vocals heard on Michael Cretu's Enigma albums MCMXC A.D. and Cross of Changes helped sell millions of copies, though Sandra had been heard on albums since the late '60s. She has also recorded several albums for Virgin as a solo act.
